Marimekko

Marimekko is a Finnish lifestyle design company, known for its original prints and bold colours.

Marimekko was founded in 1951 and they started off by designing dresses. The brand name comes from one of the founder’s name Maria (shortened to Mari) and “mekko” means a dress in Finnish.

The most wellknown print “Unikko” (Finnish for poppy flower) is known and loved all over the world.
